Does Anyone have Themes for SeaMonkey?

#1 Post by Eathray »

I like SeaMonkey fine, but there is a real lack of themes at Mozilla For it. Of the hundreds they have for Firefox, only 8 are official for my SeaMonkey.

I'm mainly a Firefox fan, but SeaMonkey is the default browser of most Puppies, so it would be nice if we could dress it up a bit.

If you find some good themes for SeaMonkey, please put up an example pic and a link to where to get it.

Thanks in advance :D

Thanks for the input Bert.

I'm currently using the Wood theme. Here's a pic attached:

I think I did that right :P

The Seamonkey 2.1* series supports personas. Dramatic change in appearance for very little impact and there are literally thousands of options. Maybe install seamonkey 2.1b and use those?

DaveS,

The site says 2.1 is way experimental... are you using it now? Is it stable enough for every day use?

Thanks

I think several of us are using it on the forum. Seems dead stable, maybe better than 2.0.10 actually. Quick too.....

Another site for good themes - for not only SeaMonkey but for Firefox and Thunderbird ( Tbird for short amongst MozApps afficianados ;) ), can be found here at my son's website:

http://www.spuler.us/

( Sorry... I tried using the [URL] tag to make it clickable but it failed to work? I guess I've forgotten how it's done? -sigh- { edit: thanks Bert for the updated help there! } )

If you leave him a comment just tell him his dad, Eyes-Only, sent you. ;) Thanks! It'll let him know I'm still alive n' kicking.

Amicalement/Cheers!

( Thanks Bert for your aide! :) )

A bit 'dated' (sm 1 and 1x) but much handsomer than sm 'classic' imho (also in the jars is some local page help for customizing).

http://vectorlinux.osuosl.org/incognu/

and more at http://users.skynet.be/fa258499/themes.html
(hah, there's Aaron - nice simple skins as I recall!), do also check the other left margin links.

Be advised that add-ons for sm are a bit harder to get rid of (see http://users.skynet.be/fa258499/faq.html - Q: How do I uninstall extensions?) than ff add-ons! (but skins are generally simple standalone .jars and not such a pitb)
