Dingo,
Not sure if the issue is at my end or not....
When I copy and paste your link into a new Seamonkey 2.0.4 browser tab, I get to your link. If I right-click & select "Open in new tab", I get some funky web ad / search junk.
I DID get your .pet -- thank you for that -- but if anyone else cannot "Open in new tab", then copy the link into a new browser tab or window manually.

I saw the same thing under Firefox 3.6.12 (Puppy 4.3.1).Roy wrote:Dingo,

Looks like a broken web router/redirect. Perhaps his host server does something funky...

I does not have a menu entry.
How does one get it going?
Can one do a symlink to the Desktop or something?
I ahve used unrar on windows and that worked. Everytime me try to do unrar on puppy linux me fail at it.
I guess me is not smart enough so hope some smart can explain how one use it.
thanks for providing it. Have longed for to be able to use one for months now.

you can, for your comfort, linking to your pinboard
- cd /usr/local/bin/
- rox
- locate unrar and drag to pin board to create a symlink (you can customize with icon you want)
unrar it is a command-line utility, so it has no menu entries (it can be wrapped into xarchive (someone has written wrappers for xarchive, so, if you have unrar executable, this format can be managed by xarchive, search in forum for rar wrappers for xarchive)
in command-line mode, you can extract rar archives by typing:
unrar e file.rar
this release of unrar is the latest (2010)

I will test it and see what happens.
Yes I tried to use that wrapper but never understood how to use it.
So I need to try the command line thing again then.
Thanks for taking time to explain it.

Hi Dingo
Firstly thanks for this useful app
I do have a small query to ask, on my build of Puppy Linux 4.31 ( Kernel 2.6.30.5 ), previously I had Unrar 3.73 installed, which I removed and then installed your pet file.
I then went to terminal and typed in:
unrar -h
Which gives me the help info and told me that the version I am currently using is Unrar 3.80.
Is this because I am using an old build of Puppy Linux and not Lucid?
However on a positive note it's a step up from 3.73.
Has this happened to anyone else?
BTW Some of other commands to use for extracting files:
unrar x filename.rar ( insert your filename )
unrar x "filename with spaces between words.rar" ( files with spaces )
unrar t filename.rar ( tests to see if the archive is ok )
unrar l filename.rar ( lists the files inside the archive )

my package installs unrar in /usr/local/bin/ , so, if you previously have installed previous version of unrar in /usr/bin/, you need to remove from it
