Kotivox multi-user daily diary using Seinfeld's chains-NOV15
This app is for people who prefer a calendar diary rather than notepad.
The innovative feature is Seinfeld's Chains which is explained well in the included PDF.
An entire family could use the program because each user is
required to input a password (minimum 10 characters).
The basic idea is to keep track of several projects simultaneously but
in a simple fashion that won't be tedious.
The pet package installs the entire folder in /root to be easily available.
First read the included PDF to understand the features because this
is a different program than you have ever used before! It's very simple
but very advanced at the same time which makes it different from other
programs that collect notes.
It is still being developed and new versions come out every 2-3 months.
The developer has been working hard to eliminate bugs and I now think
it's ready for primetime.
Installing this package doesn't destroy your old user data so it's
quite safe to upgrade. The user launches as usual from the
menu.
New version 1.2.5 uses a folder name that
is slightly different.
Don't change this name. It must be used since
this name is in the executable path.
And don't change the location of folder for same reason.
negatives- no ctrl-z (a revert to older version is used instead)
- multiple versions can be running at same time
Edit: new version 1.2.5 fixes this problem

Here are some screen shots. The red X means that work was done on a project
that day. That is why it's called Seinfeld's chains. Jerry Seinfeld came up
with the idea.

New version of Kotivox 1.2.5 for extra safety
New version of Kotivox 1.2.5 for extra safety
Essentially it is same version as before, however
I have written a wrapper program so that
2 instances of kotivox can't be loaded in
RAM at the same time. This will be effective
in avoiding data damage.
Of course you should still backup your diary folder
to another hard drive or USB stick for safety.

Method: I check for the name 'kotivox' using the
command 'ps' (which lists all processes).
If there are two instances of 'kotivox' on the list
then you will get a warning and the app won't launch.
Try it just to check!
