Hi,

This re-master of puppy-432 is made mostly using old and new SFS files

only, this has grown quite big but as you can find from the image, this has

almost all needed applications and may not require any more application

to be added.

charnisingh.

P.S Any TAKERS, please let me know. All comments are welcome.

Hi,

As explained previously, I am working on the above mentioned proj.

and have reached to a stage where I am in a position to test APPS.

so here is a test result of our old friend TK-PPPoE (RP-PPPoE).

Test result found to be WORKING OK as shown in the photo-shot.

This re-master is assembly of basically 4 SFS files. But these SFS files

can be used separately ,if uploaded as SFS files and not uploaded as a

re-master ISO.

so I request for your suggestions as how to go about it ?

1. should I upload the SFS files only or

2. should I upload as a re-master ISO.

I want maximum numbers of FORUM FRIENDS to benefit.

Please do give your suggestions.

Hi charnisingh,

In January 2008 you posted some add-ons for Puppy 4-alpha-4 through alpha-6 (Puppy 3.94-6) called "Charnisingh Dingo"
http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=25899

I tried those packages and found them all to be of excellent quality.

I would speculate that posting the .sfs's a la carte (i.e., separately) would be most likely to win users, since this would eliminate duplicate-downloading if someone already has the base .iso.

Is this based on Barry's "Karmic Woof" 4.32 build?

Hi, Sit Heel Speak,

Thanks for your suggestion and I am with you, let us see what others say.

My previous work is all lost as when they made changes it was removed

by mistake, that is what Raffy wrote me when I asked him about the issue

Puppy-432 is EXPERIMENTAL Puppy as classified by Barry and available

from the test Dir. from the main puppy download site.

Awaiting suggestions from others in the meanwhile my own testing is in

progress.

Hi dealora,

sorry I could not understand your point.

I request for a simple suggestion.

you would like to have iso or

sfs files so that you can load which ever file you need.

As this iso is a combination of 4 sfs files.

any suggestion is valuable to me and I thank you for this.

Well for me it is ideal to bring:
-Amsn
-Skype
-Openoffice
-Some good video conversion program,
-light-player video and audio codecs (mplayer)
-1 0 2 good games,
....and that at least do well in a k6-2 PC with 256 ram
I do not iso or sfs files

Hi dealora,

The ISO contains much more what you want, I got your point

I have SFS files ready as well as the ISO built by the combination

of these SFS files.

while testing XMMS audio files player I found some sound problem,

though vlc play all kind of sound files which also is part of this ISO

but XMMS is my personal choice.

Thanks for your suggestion.

regards, charnisingh

PS: Edited:- XMMS SOUND PROBLEM CORRECTED, IT IS OK NOW.

Thank you very much for your work.
Witnessed by two questions:
1 - Do I go on a K6-2 450 mhz, 256 ram, graphics savage than 8 megs and sounblaster 128?
2 - packages of version 4.3.1 are compatible with version 4.3. 2?

Congratulations on your project

Hi dealora,

Thanks for your comment.

1. The combination you have quoted above looks to me good,
my own desktop combination is=

cpu-pentium-4 2.4 mhz. on Intel mother board with built in
sound and graphics, ram(at present)= 128mb-ddr,
and my desktop is at least 6yrs. old.

2. The pkgs. I have used are compatible with puppy-430, puppy-431
and puppy-432, how ever if you use sfs, their version number
may need to be changed, but PET can be used straight way.

Thanks once again and you are welcome to ask if you face any
problem.

Regards, charnisingh.

Hi, I tried it on other PC (I still have that k-6 for my brother to try it this Christmas) I have done a very good impression. I have found that pet 4.3.1 packages are compatible. I managed to translate it into a high percentage in Spanish with a local package. One question: If you install the ati graphics package, as I have to restart the terminal to activate? Again congratulations on your good work Juan (Spain)
