No sound in Puppy 1.8r1 Mozilla

#1 Post by SamSung »

Hi

I have an Intel sound chip on my motherboard that has worked and continues to work with other versions of Puppy/Windows/Linux but I cannot get any sound out of this version.

The ALSA config runs ok and the speakers click, no test sound though appears and no sound later from playing video or audio files.

Does anyone have any suggestions.

It's just a thought:
Have you tried to load the alsa driver of your soundcard with modprobe?

If you're not sure the proper driver for your card, you'll find some help at www.alsa-project.org page.
