Yes I can relate to that indeed.

I did not mean it that way I was just curious why they don't make use of the knowledge you have to get things working on Acer and Asus and such smaller Netbooks?

Latwe at night here now so I go turn myself in. Anyway thanks for Fluppy. Saved my Acer.

Claws looks nice and is quick ... but ... it is not linked to Midori.

Clicking on an E-mail in Midori does not open a Claws E-mail window.

Is that possible?

Fix it by going to /root/Choices/URI and make a copy of "mailto" and name it "imailto".

That appears to have worked fine - thanks!

Why would anyone need Seamonkey?

Subject description: Claws - Import Seamonkey Addressbook & Folders?

I looked around and did not find this ..

Can Claws import the Addressbook and Mail Folders from Seamonkey?

Or does the addressbook need to be converted and the mail folders manually rebuilt?

Thanks!

Subject description: Midori - Import Seamonkey Bookmarks?

I looked for this, and like porting to Claws, I also experiemented inside of Midori ... no joy.

Is it possible to get Midori to import Bookmarks from Seamonkey or do thay have to be converted somehow first, please?

Thanks!

I'm with you Béèm. It has been a faithful suite for many years. Each time I upgrade puppy I link to my messages outside the savefile. Occasionally I come across a web site that seamonkey can't handle, but no too often. Recently I had to install firefox to get around this problem as it only like IE.

I keep looking but keep returning to seamonkey.

Cheers

So far I am still very impressed with the Midori/Claws combo - and I have been a big promoter of Seamonkey for years.

I did spot one inconvenience, albeit minor, minutes ago - there is no "Send Link" option in Midori (at least not one I could find). Perhaps there is an add-on or plug-in?

I am not criticizing Seamonkey so much as giving Kudos to Midori.

Claws is taking a little more getting used to, there is supposed to be a way to add Spam filtering, but I have not found it yet. Overall it is working fine too.

Fluppy 010 is on a netbook and two laptops ... more to come ...

Thanks for making this available, Jemimah!

Merry Christmas.
People in Belgium, France etc are looking for a white Christmas.
Not possible in your region.

On a light installation, I think Seamonkey works well. Some machines I've played with don't really have the CPU or RAM to support much more than that.

If one needs more browser power, and they have the machine to support it, there is nothing to prevent them from installing one of the more powerful browsers...

@edoc: don't think of Seamonkey as a limitation -- think of it as a stepping stone, to get you the browser that you really want!

In fact on the same PC I have FireFox and Opera as well to keep an open mind.
Some time ago I made a test and SeaMonkey needed the least memory and Opera the most. It was quite a difference.
Maybe should do this again as versions have changed.

Subject description: CUPS 1.3.11 - Location of Fooxxx-sourced driver?

I have the fooxxx PET for my HP P1006 LaserJet in a folder outside of the Savefile.

Running it there worked in dpup but does not seem to work in Fluppy 010.

Is there a specific location from which I need to run the fooxx PET?

Thanks!
