Yikes yet *another* Puppy site

#1 Post by battleshooter »

Probably stepping on someone else's toes, but in my defense, I did not create this website with Puppy's wellbeing in mind. Just wanted to mess with some new web building tools, so as usual, for content I turned to Puppy. Maybe nonetheless someone will find it useful:

http://puppypad.co.cc

Mostly links to eyecandy and a few games.

I'm not really hosting a lot of stuff, rather linking to existing repositories so I understand if people don't like that I'm stealing their bandwidth, but all I really wanted was to make a gallery of sorts so it would be easier to find stuff when I wanted it.

I guess this is the part I say, "If you don't like me stealing your bandwith, just tell me and I'll start hosting the file on my own server" disclaimer bit.

Well that's enough from me.

No guarantees this site is going to stay up indefinitely.

Thanks man. I didn't design it though. The whole note pad theme is off the Drupal website, and the logo is of course Rastapax's work. No one was using it so I thought it would work well.

I think at least one of the links on the site is leeched off your site, err, you don't mind do you?

Howdy Battleshooter & Happy Holidays! ;)

I haven't had the chance to answer your last missive to me but was cruising through the forum here when I happened upon this particular thread... and to make a long story short I really wanted to thank you for having given me the link to your site in your last email! Your site - like Dejan's - is a truly awesome place to visit for themes, styles, wallpapers, and the list just goes onwards! <--Yeah, like that! I was totally shocked and blown away with the sheer amount of items you had there, plus how clearly you had everything detailed/explained which made it sooo incredibly easy to find and decide whether or not it was "right for me" or "right for my version of Puppy", etc.

Please keep up the great work you've started Battleshooter, okie? You'd mentioned about this maybe not being a "permanent site" or whatever - however, I feel that as well-constructed as your site IS, the sheer plethora of items you offer, the detail you've put into this site so as to make everything perfectly clear ( especially for people such as myself ), well... this is just a phenomenal service to the Puppy Community on par with Dejan's site, or runtt21's, or Tux's, etc. So by all means, please continue the good work which you've started! Or I hope that your situation shall be that you'll always have some small time to devote to your site at least...

Happy Holidays Battleshooter!

Hey man!

Thanks for your kind words, I'm glad you find the site useful and accessible. I probably will keep the site going, but I was just concerned when, the holidays were over if I'd still have time for it. I most likely will keep it up, just because I enjoy it and I make use of it myself. Thanks again Jimmi, hope you're having a good holiday!

Cool site, battleshooter....easy to navigate and, as Eyes-Only commented, nicely detailed and you have some great themes and other eyecandy there.

Hope you keep it going :D

Just noticed that the thumbnails load slowly, so they must be full-size images that were resized for the screen. There's room for improvement there.
