After reading the information about compatible wireless cards for Puppy Linux I determined by the chart of working cards that our computer club wireless card should work in Puppy.

The appropriate driver is at67c503a. I have downloaded this file.

However additionally on the information page it stated that this driver has already been loaded into Puppy 1.0.4.

My question: Is it therefore also in 1.0.8r1 by default? And if so how do I determine that it is? Is there command line prompt I can issue to determine its status?

Thanks.

There are several different versions of the BerliOS Atmel module, I think yours is "at76c503-rfmd" - just run "modinfo at76c503-rfmd" to see if the module is available ...
... although at http://at76c503a.berlios.de/ there is a note about a firmware problem with your WUSB11 v2.6, which requires a module source hack. If you find this driver doesn't work, there's another driver which is compatible with your device - the atmelwlandriver. Download this package from http://mymirrors.homelinux.org/puppy/wireless/ -

atmelwlan-3.4.1.1.tar.gz
atmelwlan-connect
atmelwlan_README

For your adaptor you would need to do "modprobe usbvnetr".
