The other day I ordered a USRobotics serial modem off of Ebay for 20.00 including shipping.
it was hard to imagine a USRobotics hardware modem for that price but that is what I got , even the USB to serial adapter. I had paid that much for the old USRobotics Sporster Modems that I had to flash from 33.6 to 56k by the time I bought the modem cables and adapters.
As most of you already know serial modems are compatible with all Linux operating systems .
I am not real familiar with the Modem Blaster model but USR has a reputation for bulletproof external modems and once I saw this one today I immediately ordered another.

Fantastic buy on Linux compatible (serial) modem
Mistake On another
Today I found a US Robotics USB Modem for 11.29 net but did not notice it was v90 and not v92.. Still a good buy for someone who needs a small modem to carry for emergencies when broadband is unavailable.
It may be there is a flash program that will upgrade it to v.92, that is very likely, my ancient Sporster Modems were 33.6 but are now as fast as dialup gets.
