May I suggest that Abiword & Gnumeric stock apps in Lupu 5.2 be placed in Quickpet in the next release?
The reason, some people including myself may tend to install either Open Ofiice or Libre Office.
This will save them some space and also eliminate duplication of apps.
Thank you!
Suggetion for next realease of Lucid puppy
Hi marco07
This section of the forum is mainly related to Puppy Projects and development.
There is a section on this link for Puppy related suggestions:
http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/index.php?f=5
As Lucid Puppy is a fully featured minimalist OS
personally i think it would be a bad idea to remove these core applications - besides any space saved would be minimal when compared to the size of Open Ofiice or Libre Office which if i am correct (never used them) are bigger than the full OS its self?

stu90, Are you sure that this thread is still looked into?
It has now 17 pages, and I don't see much reaction of developers to include or not suggestions/wishes made there.

Sorry again for misplaced post! Sign of newbee.
I did not mean to replace Abiword and Gnumeric with OO or Libre Offc, rather just give the users the choice of picking up what they wish from the quickpet. It was a suggestion anyway!
Thanks for your reply!

well I could see gnumeric and Goffice stuck into the repo, but for basic functionality a word processor like abiword compiled without goffice should be included.
the one I made up is only like 3.1MB pet http://www.smokey01.com/ttuuxxx/Luci-Up ... e-i386.pet
