Is there an RMVB converter? |
|
I hate obscure filetypes... <.<
FFconvert doesn't seem to recognise RMVB, any way to fix this?

Yeah, probably mencoder. I can't remember whether or not FFConvert includes mencoder and/or the Real codec support, however, as I don't use it.
VLC also added Real-format support in one of the 1.x versions, so you could theoretically use VLC to transcode it, as well. Problem is, it's supposedly rather difficult to get any of the 1.x versions to run on Puppy.
RMVB isn't obscure - it's just a proprietary format, not used/supported as much under Linux, and more people would rather just use AVI/MP4/MKV and so forth than Real's formats.
