F@H updated to have a more automatic startup without modifying rc.local.
If your upgrading from a previous FAH, then go into /etc/rc.d/rc.local and delete the FAH startup line:

Actually, I can suggest one other change. By installing FAH to a folder off /mnt/home, the user's pup_save file doesn't have to carry the weight of FAH work files. That's generally the way I install the client. FAH work files don't grow terribly large but the distinction may appeal to those wishing to keep their save files trim. In terms of FAH work, little time is lost should those work files be lost or left behind.
It's your call.
It's your call.
Folding@Home automatically starts up with puppy, .pet adds it as a service in /etc/init.d/fahalienpup wrote:Very nicely done Wolfpup. This should lower the bar considerably to new FAH participants. The only thing I can think to suggest now is the option of adding fah6 to the user's Startup folder.Wolf Pup wrote:updated folding@home with 2 menu entries...
Thanks a bunch!

Thanks! Works perfect with 4.3.1
I was wondering if anybody uses the high performance GPU client with Puppy?
My skill level is not so hot, the PET packages have me spoiled. Don't know how to do anything the hard way cause so far I've always been able to find a PET that works.
Anybody know where to get a GPU PET?
or how to set up a GPU client the hard way?
There is help for Ubuntu and Arch but I was thinking Puppy would be awesome since Puppy is so fast.
TIA!
