Same problem with HD install 1. No Pop Up Window
Glad to see at least someone else had the same problem.
I will try Samurai's solution. ( I assume Phome=hda1 )
Although I chose to install pup1 to hda1 the script ignors my desire and installs pup1 to hda5 another vfat partition.
No pop up appears and no autoexec.bat file created on the boot disk.
We can't be the only ones with this problem.
PS. The creation of the autoexec.bat file did not change a thing.
It appears that puppy determines which partition to place pup1 and because usr_cram.fs is not with it but in the partition that I want it ie. hda1 then either I move usr_cram.fs or it just won't work. I though of removing my other vfat partition but that is a last resort. There must be a boot initialisation file that can be changed. But what is it.

I was intrigued by this thread, so i tried it myself. Besides, raffy is always saying how frugal installs are the fastest way to run Puppy
The fix proposed by Samurai, having a single line autoexec.bat containing only "PHOME=hda1", failed to make any difference for me. FreeDOS boots and then I get "vmlinuz not found".
This problem is also present in 109CE (oops!) and arises because the file
does not contain an autoexec.bat - looks like someone missed it out when building the image.
Perhaps some nice puppy person would put a fixed image up for download?
