QEMU-Puppy 1.0.9-1

#1 Post by Erik Veenstra »

I've released QEMU-Puppy 1.0.9-1. It's QEMU-Puppy, based on,
well, uh, Puppy Linux 1.0.9 CE.

http://www.erikveen.dds.nl/qemupuppy/index.html

BitTorrent and SourceForge are updated. The mirror on
dotpups.de isn't, yet. (Mark?)

gegroet,
Erik V. - http://www.erikveen.dds.nl/

PS: Before you start asking: I skipped QEMU-Puppy 1.0.8,
because the version of JWM used in Puppy Linux 1.0.8 was
terribly slow.

----------------------------------------------------------------

DESCRIPTION

QEMU-Puppy is an OS and a set of applications on a USB memory
stick. This OS can be booted natively, or on top of an other,
already installed, OS. Just borrow a PC, boot your own
environment and return the PC unaffected.

"No installation, no garbage..."

----------------------------------------------------------------

CHANGED

It's QEMU-Puppy 1.0.7-2, update to Puppy linux 1.0.9 CE. No
functional changes in my patches or my files.

This is one of the nicest documented projects. I must get a 256 mem stick to try it on . . .

Anyone who tries this let us know how you get on :)

Do we still need that?
Sourceforge has 20 mirrors or so, and they are faster than Dotpups.de.
If there is no real importance, I'd like to use Dotpups.de for Dotpups only (no more isos or similar), as I'm running out of space there.

It's not really necessary. SourceForge will do.

Thanks.
