How to save some window to the clipboard?

#1 Post by fossiili »

Alt+PrintScreen is the trick in Windows to get the contents of a window to the clipboard. How is that done in Puppy Linux?

In puppy is not that straigthforward but still easy.

There is a utility under the 'Graphics' menu to take a snapshot of the screen. The newly captured screen opens in mtPaint where you can crop, copy or otherwise modify the image.

Please beware that the clipboard in Puppy is not equivalent to the clipboard in Windows so certain things may not work 'as expected'.
