RP-PPPoE is a verry easy utility to install an internet connection.
Some small problems:
If I stop the internet connection then X stops also casting me to the terminal mode. "startx" usually works but not always. For a newbie this could be very confusing.
I can not find any method to put RP-PPPoE as an icon to the desktop. Is the only method to start it and connect to internet to open RP-PPPoE from Network-menu?
Any possibility to configure Puppy so that when started the internet connection were already on? So my 78 year old sister had only to start Mozilla for surfing.
Roaring Penguin for the grandma?

Desktop icon for RP? yes, again in puppy2. ...a 'connect' icon on desktop,
configurable easily as you want.
But I have already noticed that there are different modifications and versions (alfa? beta?) of Puppy. Please, recommend me what I should try in my sisters computer. This 1.0.8. February 2006 is reasonable stable, although those small problems with X. I have only short time to use with my sisters computer. She lives 600 kilometers apart from me and I can stay there only some hours.
you could use
adsl-start
adsl-stop
http://www.murga.org/~puppy/viewtopic.php?t=8188
You could create desktop-icons for the 2 commands.
