POLL: Use Puppy's Wiki?

#1 Post by Bernie_by_the_Sea »

Personally I rarely look at any wiki, including Wikipedia. In the three months I've used Puppy I looked at only one entry in Puppy's wiki and found it gave unnecessarily complex and confusing information about only one method among many of doing something.

How many really use Puppy's wiki? Is it a waste of time and effort? Does it harm more than help? Is there a better way to provide documentation?

I've only used the wiki a few times, and found it somewhat helpful, but not much. I do agree that better documentation would be a big help. I'm just not sure of the best way to go about it. Everything changes so fast that it's nearly impossible to keep up.
I carefully plan ALL my random acts!

When I first started using the pupster, I was absorbing as much info as possible, I did go thru every page (pretty much), and found it helpful. Would need to be "reminded" if a new topic or update is up on it as my memory sux. I would like to see it continue, as long as it is getting update.

Does the "wikka" page count as "wiki"?

I often look for packages using Google, for example:

Code: Select all

puppy wikka flash
Which typically shows me the latest .pet package.
