Certain files refuse to be deleted or moved out...

#1 Post by benny7440 »

There're some files that refuse to be deleted within the WINE folder. Have tried everything I imagined would work but they remain fixed in their spot. The scenario is as follows:

see attached screenshot...

Any ideas as to what to do next? Thanks!

PS. Never got to use WINE anyway.
PSS. The same issue arrived after trying to delete Firefox, today.

:D Hello,
Let me guess....input/output error???

Reboot pfix=ram...
Open a terminal and type in
e2fsck /dev/xxx
where xxx is your puppy partition...
IE e2fsck /dev/sda1
When it ask`s "Fix y or n" (possibly several times...deleted inodes)
Choose yes...
Then reboot, and see if they are gone..
Close the Windows, and open your eyes, to a whole new world

Problem solved

Thanks puppyluvr for responding!

I'm sorry that I don't remember the command used to do it but I finally changed the SUID bit within the Properties window & the deleted the files/folders involved.

Probably due to lack of sleep-time I'm having like a short term memory emptiness, think is related to a lower back pain that has endured for almost 2 weeks now.
