Samsung scx-4200 mfc
installed the cups.pet
installed the sane frontend/backend .pest
installed gphoto.pet
downloaded samsung unified drivers
extracted/ran samsung install
ignored warning about sane
xsane works for scanner (never have got it working under Ubuntu)
printer no joy
copied scx-4200.ppd file to /root (from extracted samsung drivers)
re installed cups.pet it found driver did the cups setup worked like a charm and scanning still works.

Guess I spoke to soon...Upon reboot if I try to print this message comes up in cups

continuing on my quasi successful attempt at getting this printer working.
I have found that killing and restarting the cups daemon fixes things.
Could someone tell me how I might do this automatically, or why this is needed. Is the daemon starting up too soon?
any tips appreciated

Fluppy013, having the same problem with "Failed to load the PPM image".
Does anybody know how to solve it?
