What works, and doesn't, for you. Be specific, and please include Puppy version.

Linksys USB LAN driver?

#1 Post by gliezl »

I tried Puppy109CE on a Dell Laptop. It has no ethernet port so I plugged a Linksys USB LAN adapter, it was not detected. I tried SLAX 5.1.6 it detected the USB LAN. My question is, where can i get the module/driver of SLAX to be used in Puppy so when I'll remaster my Puppy I'll include this driver.
By the way I tried NTFSMOUNT in SLAX, it still got some errors. I see that PUP001 works better still in NTFS Partitions.

I think that the pegasus.o module may work for your adapter. It is available as part as part of the puppy modules package see the help files on Puppy 1.09CE for details of procedure. I have a similar adapter working well on 1.09CE. (It does not work with Puupy 2)
