PuppyLInux 5.25 Video Card

#1 Post by ndujoe1 »

Well I guess my ATI card does not support acceleration and opengl. so I am requesting a list of cards that are puppy acceptable. I am a bit worn out trying to fight cityhall with the ATI card since there are no options available for it. Thanks.

What card is it?
Specific details.
Have you tried to install a better driver by using the options in the driver tab of Quickpet? Quickpet is on the desktop.

Run the click here to test your graphics card.
Install the recommended driver.
The Xorg high driver is a general driver that will give you acceleration and works with a lot of cards.

Puppy Linux 5.25 and ATI card

#3 Post by ndujoe1 »

Thanks for your thoughts. I have so installed the Quickpet offered solutions for the ATI Card.

But acceleration and Open GL parts are not activated best I can tell.

It is either too old a card or own that cannot be driver compiled.

Attached a screenshot of my hardward info of it.

In Quickpet
click here to test your graphics card.
What driver did it recommend?
Xorg-high driver should give you acceleration and opengl.
Very important to follow all directions when installing driver.

In the console, Type glxgears to ck if it works.
