This was compiled from source in Lighthouse 64 and tested in Fatdog64-520 beta 3. It is already included in Lighthouse 64.
Retrovol was written by forum member Pizzasgood. It has a tray icon that allows adjusting the volume by simply turning the mouse wheel while holdng the mouse pointer over the retrovol tray icon (tool-tip shows current level.) Left-click the tray icon for the volume slider, and again to hide it. Right-click for full mixer or configuration windows. The windows can be re-sized to display all of the sliders.
The Pet modifies /root/.xinitrc to autorun the tray icon only: retrovol -hide
If you're using retrovol in Openbox and are happy with it, you can remove the green LXPanel volume tray icon by right-clicking on it and selecting 'Remove this item'.
