I have noticed my file moving and copying and deleting is slowing down to silly times (over 3 minutes to delete a file (it is 2 secs on slow machines)
I am waiting to do a fresh install from 1.0.4 (which will cure this) but for now what could be happening? Who else has had or noticed this?

slow quick quick slow
Yes using Rox.
Well yes it was 95% full on 256 meg (I thought that was the problem) and I updated by another 512 meg (incidentally that process needs a quick echo or dialogue to say what is happening - otherwise people will think nothing has happened and may start doing stuff)
No it is on a windows main partition - AHHHH! - actually that might be the problem - It is a a faulty windows 98 partion running under a non working (but booting) Windows XP
No it is slow right from the start. I have renamed the pup001 - from within Puppy - (and turned off the machine so as not to recreate a pup001)
And started again.
It is fast again. . . . but seems to be slowing again
I might have to do an exorcism as the machine may be cursed . . .
Originally I had the machine (it is the one on the right) blessed as a shrine

The computer is called Cecil incidentally

I will now hand myself in to the authorities
