OK, I'm satisfied in that case that the package is fine. I'll start again with a fresh pup_save file and give it another go.
Best,
CP .

Legacy OS 2 gives you full access to Adobe Reader 9.3 after installing it from the Repository. Here's Adobe Reader running inside Opera.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but Open Office still doesn't work in Legacy on my machine (though oddly it does work in Puppy Turbo Extreme and probably in other 420/421 Puppies too).
It's not a big deal for me though, because Abiword, Gnumeric and PortaBase do everything I need in an office distro.

Ubuntu's Software Centre promotes and recommends different apps and "Tumiki Fighters" pops up regularly. Users reviews claim this game to be very addictive and to ignore its simple looks.
Now Legacy OS 2 users can now enjoy "Tumiki Fighters" as well.
You'll find the download link at the start of this post. Enjoy!

Great News!!! Opera 12 Alpha Web Browser runs fine in both Legacy OS and Legacy OS 2 and has been added to the repository for all Legacy OS users to enjoy. You will also find Flashplayer 10.2 for those wanting to update from Flashplayer 10.1
Why should I install Opera 12 Alpha?
Better HTML5 support.
Youtube runs better in fullscreen.
Some sites know to crash the default Opera 10 version installed.
By installing this package you will still have access to Opera 10 with Java support and Opera 12 Alpha which has better support for today's Webpages.
Please Note: Opera 12 Alpha doesn't currently support the version of Java installed by default in Legacy OS and Legacy OS 2.
Download from Here: http://puppylinuxstuff.meownplanet.net/LegacyOS/Legacy-OS-2-Apps-Repository/ under Internet
To install Extract open file to / Reloaded menu: Applications > Accessories > Misc > Reload Menu and Opera 12 Alpha should appear under Opera 12 in the Internet menu.
Enjoy!

Hey john, and everyone...
I've been out of touch for a while, but I finally did some updates on my Puppy page and mirrored OS-2, just in case anyone needs another place to download it from.

Hello Legacy OS Users,
Finally after searching for years for an Application which would allow simple DVD to AVI conversion, I found it
It is a simply QT3 based front end for Mencoder. All up the tar.gz is 86kb
Unzip the tar.gz to / as per normal, refresh menu and you'll see it under
Audio & Video > Video Tools in the main menu.
I recommend you copy the DVD on to your Hard Drive if you have the room as it can take 6 or more hours to RIP a high quality Avi which would have your DVD burner spinning all that time!
If you're happy to use your DVD Burner first mount the DVD using Pdrive and with in the application navigate to the DVD Drive and select the folder containing the Vob files. You only have to select the folder and DVD2XVID will do the rest.
Link to Website in German http://www.neoversum.org/ use google translation to read.
You'll find it under "Sound and Video" at the start of this post.

Sorry if I'm being dense here but I couldn't find the link; all I got from the download link was the screenshot / image.
Gkrellm is good though. I know it from Vector so I applaud your making it available for Legacy.
Cheers,
CP .
