Where is the missing topic

#1 Post by Bruce B »

A topic was moved off this forum.

I want to know what administrator did it. And who asked

Two very good questions, if I may say so. Kinda curious myself.

There is some evil, maybe not with the deleted topic of mine.

Evil in another place, specifically the PLUG

The PLUG forum was made without John de Murga's authorization.

I just removed it. All you PLUG forum wannabes can get his full authorization next time around.

Talking to yourself is the first sign of madness, Bruce! John may not have agreed to establish the sub-forum but he did subsequently agree with the idea. I don't know what's gotten up your nose; you're usually such a level-headed guy. For me this is a step too far.

I have no idea exactly what is going on here but removing Bruce's topic....3 posts(2 by Bruce and 1 by Ttuuxxx) and already locked....... wasn't too cool either.Thought there was going to be openness and disclosure?

I did what I had to do WhoDo.

Aitch posted some seriously bad things about noobys condition. And what happened to nooby happened at the PLUG.

Someone deleted the topic which contained the description. We can preserve the record and it is the proper way to do it.

If people are injured as bad as Aitch described I demand the record kept as it should have been in the first place.

I trust that Aitch misunderstood something that I had written in a PM to him.

My poor command of English and my confused way of expressing myself triggered event I was not able to foresee.

Friend,

Everything is OK. There is nothing that can't wait until tomorrow. If you read what you just wrote, I think you will see why it can wait until tomorrow.

I generally don't believe in conspiracy theories but......just coincidently
everyone's favorite forum member "jonyo" posted about your original post(now missing) over at LQ hours ago....seemingly about the time you made the post.
Hmmmm.Makes you wonder?

Friend,

Everything is OK
Everything is OK - well said. 8)

I have started a new thread on moderation. Part of which involves language.
A missing admin or an admin mistake or even a hack from some alien dimension is not the end of civilisation as we know it.

We are friends of Puppy and in Puppy and we can sort this out.

. . . otherwise I may have to start wearing a toutou again . . .

Come On Administrators and Moderators....if you moved/removed/modified the topic Bruce mentioned...please restore it.

Hopefully while you're at it, you can restore the PLUG material that was removed by Bruce.

A more serious than that Thom. At this point not just about files. There about five people on the PLUG who could have hurt nooby. Administration wants an accounting.

I sent a PM to John Murga and I tried to explain how a deep misunderstanding could have got triggered due to my confusing English.

Hope he contacts me so I can explain even better.

Is there a phantom thread-thief in our midst or have i landed on another planet? Can't remember seeing things disappear like this before..

I had this really nice dream.....that members cast aside their differences, stopped squawking and bickering and allowed the common interest (ie. Puppy Linux) to prevail. The grass was green, there were dog-biccies all round, tails wagged in the kennels and all was groovy...

Oh - and what was that song by Aretha Franklin?
R - E - S - P - E - C - T .....

This is not your fault or your responsibility.

However, I want to know some things.

I want the PMs and I want them posted in full right here. If you won't, I'll try and pressure John Murga to do some digging. I hope not go that far.

Not one person need worry if they are decent and clean. Only the guilty need
be bothered.

Your call.
