Developers may find this question elementary, but, "un-informs" like me, need understanding guidance.
I recently inquired about an anomaly I observed and documented.
The dilemma is:
what to do when the problem is clearly NOT a Puppy problem, but is a problem with Linux? Or maybe a subsystem in Linux, say, Bash or etc.
Thanks in advance
Dilemma: How-where should bugs be reported?
I'm pretty sure this is what you should do:
- If you can, try to reproduce the bug in another distro (to make sure it isn't Puppy's fault).
- If it's on the other distro, report it to the bug tracker for the project (just google "<program> bug tracker", it should get you close).
- If it's puppy's fault, you should post in the bugs section of the forum.
