How to purge (remove completely) A video driver ? Subject description: On puppy 5.25 ( or any other - Guess it'sthe same )
Hello,
I run puppy 5.25 and I had run it one time with an Nvidia driver as .SFS file.
After that i've removed it from being load at start up ( using Bootmanager ), restarted, and when boot up again - deleted the .SFS file.
But, since then - after many restarts after - I can still see Nvidia & NV driver being listed under xorgwizard !
I tried to run "rmmod nvidia" and "rmmod nv" - but it reports they aren't exist !
How can I purge - SAFELY - any remnant of this video driver ?!?!

If you removed the driver the list in xorgwizard is only a list of possible drivers.
A driver file still needs to be present for the selection to work. _________________ I have found, in trying to help people, that the things they do not tell you, are usually the clue to solving the problem.
