Help me boot puppy 2.0!

#1 Post by Tankgunk »

Puppy 2.0-sea monkey

I want to have XP home edition on my 6 gig drive and then have puppy and swap on my 1.5 gig drive. I also want to have wine installed in puppy linux.

eTower 300

(BIOS will boot from any drive, celron processor)

using a Diamond MM card rather than the built in ATI graphics card,
added a ethernet port (3comm fast ethernet)
original cd-rom replaced with a 4x

Point being I don't know how to go about booting into linux.
Also, I don't have any floppy disks on hand, I was using my last one with grub and it went bad (It was the 4th one I tried, i have bad luck with floppies)

Windows XP is currently installed. Puppy is not.

64 mb ram

maxtor, primary HD - ~6MB
only one partition, NTFS Windows XP Home

secondary HD - ~1.5 gig
freshly wiped clean, awaiting a 200 MB swap file and a 1000 MB partition for puppy.
