trying to install hp 3745 in 5.2.5 solved

#1 Post by Bligh »

Never installed a printer in Puppy. 3745 is not on the list, is there another that will work?

What is the full model name of your printer?

The thread directly above this one discusses how to install a printer in Lupu. Go there and get the hplip_print-3.11.7.pet. It has a driver for the Deskjet 3740 series.

I have vector installed on the os partition of that drive. Somehow I corrupted the installation, I can install the printer but it won't print. The print server isn't working. Everything else seems ok. Now that I have Puppy 525 installed (save2 file) and the printer is working, I will leave vector as it is.

Are you confirming that the hplip_print-3.11.7.pet installed your HP Deskjet 3745 in Lupu 525? This is useful information for other users if you specifically say so.

Yes, it seems to be working. I printed a .txt file from geany to test it.
