Netbeans 7.3 - Integrated Development Environment

#1 Post by TheAsterisk! »

Netbeans is an IDE for development with several languages, but may be best known for use with Java.

The package linked is an sfs4 file, packaged on Slacko-531 from the generic, universal binary.

netbeans-7.3.sfs (256.72 MB)

md5sum.txt

You'll need to install Java, either the JRE for most functions or the JDK for coding in Java, in order to get Netbeans up and running properly.

Updated from version 7.0.1 to 7.1

Download works now- just don't forget to unzip the SFS before checking against the md5sum.

Yes, I know, hence the note I added about just that issue, and I added it before you posted this reply. Sorry, though. Fixed now.

That is cool that netbeans is available but i notice that it is netbeans.sfs.zip how would i unzip it? would i need peazip to do it? i'm wondering how big the netbeans.sfs would be without the zip.

To open:

Open rxvt terminal in the same directory as the zip fileand type the following:

unzip netbeans.sfs.zip

that should make a folder called "netbeans.sfs" which you can "cd" to and then type "mv netbeans.sfs /path/to/extract/here".

Hope that helps whoever is wondering.
