Puppy 2 wireless problems at boot - Solved

#1 Post by kevin-g »

I have puppy 2.01 on an hdd istallation on an IBM X20 with netgear ma401.

The network wizard works but after saving data for next boot, the dhcp failed.

I have found that this is because the wep key was not being used. It seems that the file rc.network is reading the eth1mode file but NOT the eth1wireless file

I have therefore added

. /etc/${INTERFACE}wireless

Immediately before

. /etc/${INTERFACE}mode

This is at about line 185.

Please accept my apologies if my terminology or methodology is poor.

Thanks to all involved...

Kevin
