deleting files of of start menu

how do you delete dotpup files from the potpup menu on the start menu i have 3 or 4 programs that i uninstalled yet the file on the start menu didnt go away its still there just no picture and when you click it nothgn happens

But make a backup from /root/.jwmrc from time to time, I did not look at that script since a while, so I can't guarantee that it will not corrupt it.

No, DO NOT USE the second one.
If you installed a Program with the Debian-installer, it is incompatible and breaks your Desktop.

Edit /root/.jwmrc by hand to remove entries.
Or try the first one, that seems to work after a short test, at least it broke nothing.

i dont believe it i try searching so hard for answers before i post and i always seem to miss over a few... i guess you have to be a member for a while and know whats been posted and not just rely on searching... but thanks MU you are so awsome!
