mount: Mounting /dev/hda2 on /tmp/boot failed: Invalid argument

I couldn't mount '/dev/hda2' read-write!

What the heck does this mean?
I accidently cut my puppy, and am having to reinstall it.

But now I can't get grub working ><;

what was the command verbatim that caused this error ?

How was the filesystem created ?

On what system was the filesystem created ?

Have you googled to find that error elsewhere as this sounds like it is a problem not particular to puppy ......Remember Linux is Linux

If you go to the Puppy Wiki beginners section main site you will find a lot of information and links regarding the commands used in Linux such as mount.

This will make it easier for you to understand what is happening in Puppy.

Is the partition formatted with a filesystem.....because from your output of cfdisk there is no mention of a filesystem on /dev/hda2 even tho the partition is flagged as linux......
