Remastering subforum? |
|
Hello, everybody!
I'm new here, and perhaps it's a bit early to make suggestions to your forum already, but I'll make one anyway
How about a 'Remastering' subforum? A place where people could share their ideas about remastering puppy, about adding programs, editing config files and letting puppy suit their needs.
What do you guys think?

Welcome to the Puppy Litter arti
These special Pups usually go under cutting edge (which they are) when being developed and then announcements when ready. Judge Dredd aka John Murga our host here, did create a special pup. So if he feels it justifies a seperate section, then all well and good but I do not feel traffic would be sufficient to justify its own section.
You could create a special section on the wiki or discuss it on our IRC channel (link from Puppy main page)
Personally I believe we should have a section devoted to fish (Tux agrees with me on this) but we may be biased . . .

Dunno ...
Barry, what do you think ?
I think that :
Multi-session live-CD
Remastering talk
Could both be subforums to "Cutting Edge"
Cheers

Yes, you could do.
It is probably a matter of personal preference -- I tend to prefer the one level of headings.
But, whatever the majority feel like is fine with me

It's an important consideration. The best names for the main forum headings may not be the ones that seem obvious. By best I mean most helpful to deciding where to put a post, or where to look for help. Maybe I'm just dumb but sometimes I have trouble deciding where to put a post, and sometimes I see posts that seem to me to belong under another heading.
As for branching a heading into subheadings, if it clears up confusion and makes the forum more useful, use it, is what I say.

OK, what we need is someone to make a suggestion and we can try it out ...
I am really not sure if anything should be changed
Seems to be working OK now... But if someone has any ideas I'll be happy to play with them.
Cheers
