Mandelbulber 3d fractal generator

#1 Post by dejan555 »

Here's a graphic fractal generator in 3D
I just took precompiled archive from their site and turned it into pet.
Tested to work on 5.2, may not work on older 4.x puppies because it wants at least glibc 2.7.11

mandelbulber0.991.pet 1.15 MB
Dependency: libjpeg8_8b-1_i386.deb 124 KB

Project site with info and samples:
http://sites.google.com/site/mandelbulber/home

Also I attached very basic test sample

hi dejan555

There's a hidden .mandelbulber directory in root, that is missing from the pet.
i got it from the tar.gz. Nice program, apophysis should be posted, or linked here aswell

:D Hello,
The Pet installs the data directory, .mandelbulber on the top level @ /
Move it to /root and it works fine....
Edit: This is really cool....Thx dejan555, great program!!

works great in lucid :D
i installed v1.08 64 bit deb from debian wheezy in fatdog 521(64bit)
does not need the libjpeg dep.(and data directory is in the right place)
i imagine that the 32bit version would be fine in lucid.

I repackaged mandelbulber_1.08-2_i386.deb and created mandelbulber-1.08-lina.pet, this contains the libjpeg8 dependency and glibc 2.11 hack, packaged for and runs in Carolina and Wary.

It is in the Carolina repo.

Hi.

I have packaged mandelbulber_1.08-2_i386.deb and libjpeg8_8b-1_i386.deb into a SFS Module. It works out of the box in LazY Puppy (Lucid 528-4 based) and L.A.S.S.I.E. (Precise 571 based).

Thanks for the Links.
