Multisession on BD and more

#2 Post by Ted Dog »

I came across this last night when trying to make a hybrid EFI/El Torro boot disk for my AntiMacPup project. Any problems with compiling? need to have it 64bit version.
Is this the new version released a day or so ago? :D

I am not sure when it was released but I just downloaded and compiled yesterday. No problem at all compiling.

Hey - welcome back, Jason.
I don't think I've seen you around for a long time.
Do you know a good gtkdialog program? Please post a link here

Thanks, haven't been around for quite a while. I decided I missed using Puppy so I'm back.

I've been using xorriso for the last couple of years and am quite happy with it -- no more Jörg Schilling for me!

And welcome back Ted Dog. I haven't seen you around here in a long time. :D

So, what would I use xorriso for?

Thanks, glad to be missed. xorriso is a swiss army knife of optical drives. Cleans up those multiple layers of mkiso, growiso, multiple boot loaders programs into a cleaner to use tool.
Also covers the difference in types of optical DVD, Blu-Ray, CDROMs into a cohesive syntax.

I've have it on my list of needed tools to get my prototype of PuppyLinux on MacTel hardware, using EFI boots. So far the MiniMac is preforming multisession flawlessly in puppylinux version I got running using good O growisofs, too bad OSX losses count of number of sessions ( it has a serious problem of half the code starting count from 1 or 0 ) To get around it Mac HDs have hidden buffers between partitions. I'm using those chunks of unclaimed space for storage/swap
