Using small Ubuntu research tool in Puppy?

Hi,
I'm wondering if it might be possible to run this software (www.cogsci.nl/mantra) in any version of Puppy? The installation files were originally intended for Ubuntu but now seem to be distribution-independent. However, when I attempted to install it on Puppy I didn't have any success, perhaps because of the dependencies (it needs a lot of Python bits and pieces).

Could anyone give me a hand to get Mantra working on Puppy please?
