LibreOffice 3.3.0 final
I uploaded LibreOffice 3.3.0 beta 3 and it should appear in Quickpet for Luci-242. It's also available on ibibliofor users of different versions. Also download java which is required for some functions to work.
Enjoy,
Jim
Enjoy,

Success with spup-051.. it's the next inline to Barry's 040, very similar but from the latest woof, November 28. It's in the puplet section.
Cheers

You need gstreamer. Older versions of Open Office used the Java Multimedia Framework.8-bit wrote:Is it possible to play the sound in pps files in Presentation?

A bit off topic, but nice to know??
Oracle have just announced that Open Office will now only be maintained as a "Community Project" - which I read as "we don't want to know about it any more".
They have also "implied" that any product that they "own" that doesn't generate income won't be supported - (see latest security patch releases)

libreoffice
jim1911,
first, thanks for your efforts regarding libreoffice and the repos. However, according to the 01micko get-libreoffice pet, he advises that it not be used on USB installs. As many puppy users do usb installs only, might it be possible to upload one final libreoffice sfs into the repos for existing mature puppies like 525 or 528? an update on the existing version in the repos, which is 3.3 would be quite useful. The final 3.4 version of Libreoffice would be a major upgrade for many of us.
I know there are ways to download libreoffice and build it (would the .deb version work on Lucid Puppies, I wonder...) (and now there is even a portable linux apps version), but for many puppians, keeping this relatively updated in the official repos is the best and simplest bet. Again, thank you for your efforts thus far, as without them, I don't believe we'd have libreoffice in the repos at all.

Hi Cowboy,
The problem with using Get LibreOffice with a usb installation is memory so it depends on size of your usb stick and save file. If you have another installation on a hard drive, you could generate the latest sfs (3.5.1) and copy it to your usb installation.
Also, if you have lots of ram, open your pup with pfix=ram and try to generate it just using ram.
LibreOffice 3.3.1 is still on ibiblio here along with older versions. Because Get LibreOffice is so good, I will not be updating it, however you could request playdayz to upload the latest version that he has generated using Get LibreOffice.
Also you could try version 3.5 that pemasu has uploaded for exprimo. See http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewto ... 099#611099
