Gparted won't resize Linux partitions

Gparted won't resize Linux partitions

I've boot from an USB the puppy distribution. I need to resize some partitions of my hdd, wich are linux partitions, but it stills give me error cannot apply operation.. is there other program better then gparted for doing this?

Hi paunivin.
I just wondered if any on your drives or partitions are mounted whe you are trying this?
It is my understanding that puppy2 default boot from cd is ram only, but i don't know about usb boot.
Can you boot with option puppy pfix=ram using the usb? (that will ensure that you are running totally in ram) or, boot with a puppy cd instead.
I do not have alot of usb experience (tried it once a while back) but these may be options.
I assume you are using puppy2.xx since you mention gparted.
I used to always use a knoppix cd for this job, (qtparted) but I have so far, had very good luck using gparted in puppy2.
