I'm using Puppy to be a minimalist web server and want to restrict access to a few directories. I tried using .htaccess and .htpasswd but they seem not to be recognized. Is there something I need to do or are they not supported by nullhttpd?
Since I need so little from my webserver I was trying to avoid installing a whole package where things get bigger and more complex.
Thanks!
Puppy doesn't support .htaccess & .htpasswd?
Apache
Yes, those may be specific only to the Apache server, which you may be trying to avoid in your installation.I tried using .htaccess and .htpasswd but they seem not to be recognized.

I was going to recommend that you RTFM, but there is no FM. Neither on nullhttpd's web site nor in the source code.
