A side note on the silverdollarsolutions site:
I believe they do server maintenance later at night (Central or Eastern Time in the States), as I've often had problems with broken downloads during these times.

If this is the case, perhaps a maintenance time-frame notice can be posted where it's easily seen.

I am glad that someone donated to keep the mirror going for another year. There's a reason that most open-source projects are called "community" builds, projects, etc.

I have created a repository for Brainwave's stuff at ftp://ftp.silverdollarsolutions.com/PuppyLinux/Brainwave and I presume that he will start to populate it soon.

I plan to start a torrent repository as well, but that will really require some cooperation, as most of us (including myself) have quite limited upstream bandwidth on our own ISPs and no way to get a datacenter to host our torrent traffic.

Would the person who is trying to download the whole Brainwave repository please contact me at business at silverdollarsolutions dot com to discuss a repository for torrent files pointing to Puppy files? I think it would be very cool to have a repository for torrent files for Puppy. Making torrent files is easy, but initial seeding calls for a lot of extra bandwidth. Working in conjunction, we could get several seeds up without any initial seeding at all, since we can obtain the content other ways.

my uploads to russoodles site go at about 15K/s so how long would 46G or even 70G take Exclamation Question much faster to snail mail a harddrive.

I think I can download/upload the stuff to russoodle's site

I have a decent enough connection to get it done,

was just waiting for a sponsor to speak up

But thanks, aarf

your efforts are highly valued, and appreciated!
how much do you pay for an internet connection that will handle gigs of data at a reasonable speed?

Arrf my computer is my only source of entertainment, so buffer free streaming is a must

I have the highest Tiered plan, which is quite a decent speed it costs 75 USD monthly but I pay around 365 dollars total with a phone, TV, and internet bundle from my cable company

I also am also concurrently uploading to the place saint's donation has paid(covered for two months, I should be able do the rest Smile for and also silver puppies site as well

and no drop in speeds on my end
COX ISP is the bomb!

@Tubeguy my repo according to downloading all of the /public_html folder is only 35 GB! so I am kinda confused where 45+ GB came from, maybe your downloading the whole site, because I have much more on there than just the repo itself

Personally I thought the repo was much bigger as well as I remember on a slower Internet connection I had it would take two days to download the whole thing

Yeah I was wondering about that too. I'll just grab the individual folders themselves and the index page.
