hey just a fan of puppy asking probably a dumb question(s) regarding android....

1.has anyone ever tried making a working puppy that can install on an android device?

last few months I been mostly sticking to my phone a HTC desire hd getting farther from my computer by the day slowly forgetting puppy was here but seeing as its my first true love flavor of linux and seeing a post on xda developers posts I seen they had a working install of ubuntu working and booting in the phone.this got me thinking puppy with its low ram run min CPU and small size would work idealy in a smartphone!

2.knowing android is java based tho is it even possible to do it?

3.booting inside of android and then booting puppy somehow with a app?

4. has anyone even thought of converting a puppy distro to android?or is it even possible?

maybe just a pipe dream or a case of missing my fav linux distro I guess the answers following this post will give me hope or shatter my little dream of one day playing with puppy on my phone.....

1. It is kind of the wrong question. If the android was on a regular Intel or AMD CPU mother board then you could have set up a dual boot
with android or puppy but what you talk about is android on other CPUs like ARM and we still have no regular Puppy for ARM CPUs.

2. Android as I get it is like Gnu/Linux a shell over Linux that is the kernel. Java is a programming language and not really a Operating System so you can do applications in Java and run them on any operating system that run Java apps. My Nokia that is Symbian OS can run Java.

Hope my text is not too confusing
