Hi all, please point me in the right direction if possible...
Puppy 2.01 PC#1 running BETAFTPd with xfer logging on, no anonymous connections, user "username" created as per instructions in the BetaFTPd.htm help file (docs say -r /usr/bin/deny..., should be -s xxxx(?) and /root/tempdir created prior with some file copied there ready for sharing.
Puppy 2.01 PC#2 running GFtp, connects fine as user "username" and sees /root/tempdir and files on PC#1.
When I do a transfer of all the files from /usr/share/doc that I previosly placed there, the progress line shows all the files transferring but they are all 0 bytes long and cannot be opened...
Any ideas what I am doing wrong?
Thanks in advance.
PS. Thanks EVERYONE for this distro/and the community for the support given. It has solved many problems and I hate booting anything else!!!

Sorry - I put the cart before the horse in my last message
As you can see from the following links I know your pup2.01SM betaftpd server problem well
http://www.murga.org/~puppy/viewtopic.php?t=8814
http://www.murga.org/~puppy/viewtopic.php?t=8967
and I had been looking around for a working solution for some time before I stumbled on Nathan's thread which mentioned the pure-ftpd server (which works) - which is what I posted in the first message
Hopefully this restores the time-line and this is where I came in.
