How to use Chinese in browser, English in OS? [Solved]

#1 Post by Darkgame »

My cousin is going to buy a computer without harddisk (its weird. I know right?)

So... they are going to use an external harddisk to run the computer. No internal hdd at all.

My cousin just do simple web browsing on Chinese sites, and he doesn't have harddisk, which means no windows. Puppy would be a great OS for him, just right!

I've found how to install Chinese language:
http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=51394

BUT.. there is one problem. She doesn't want the OS's language to be in Chinese! How am I going to undo that?!

I found my way to Country to choose locale, selected en_SG, but the language remains Chinese!

Is there other pets that can do the job? Or maybe a script or just some file replacement?

Im using Lucid 5.2.5 to do this.

My cousin is going to buy the computer on Saturday! So i need everything to be ready on Saturday!

Can anyone help? Thanks alot in advance!
