gsudoku-0.2 - a gtk sudoku game

#1 Post by plinej »

Here's an update. I seperated all the extra help html docs and various other extras that aren't necessary to play the game. I also re-compiled the source code under puppy 2.11 (the original binary was compiled in Mepis last year sometime). If you don't need all the extras just install the Gsudoku-0.2.pup, otherwise install both.

If the gsudoku binary at /usr/local/gsudoku/ doesn't work you can try the posted binary in the gsudoku.tar.gz package.

Unfortunately plinej recompiled this game for a different kernel but used the same filename (gsudoku-0.2)

The new version posted on 17OCT06 does not work in puppies 2.02, 1.09 or Grafpup104

The original version which worked for these platforms no longer seems to be available. :(

I like very much Sudoku, so thanks.
But after filling in all the empty cases and pushing 'verify solution' I get the message, that there are empty cases, while there are none.

Anybody this problem?
Puppy Linux 2.02 SMkey, KDE354mini, wine0.9.20, devx-qt-renamed.
Puppy Linux 2.10r1 SMkey, JWM, devx_qt_renamed_210, KDE355mini

Yes, you have to click on "solve" first, which if you've already filled it in...

I uploaded gsudoku.tar.gz which is the original executable. Just replace it with the executable at /usr/local/gsudoku/gsudoku

Only necessary if the Gsudoku-0.2.pup doesn't work for you.

Yes - that will do it - replacing the non-working /usr/local/gsudoku/ with the untarred file in your gsudoku.tar.gz package does the trick - many thanks :)

Did anyone ever download and archive the source package for this? I can't seem to find it online anymore and wanted to compile it in Fatdog64. The original website was http://www.yzonesoft.com/

The source file was named "gsudoku_02_source.zip"

The archived web page is at:

---edit---

This isn't the source code just a linux binary. Still looking for the source code.

I finally found the source code and after tweaking it a bit posted it at the beginning of the thread as well as a package compiled in Fatdog64-521.
