Creating .pet out of the progxxx..file in /root/.packages

#1 Post by RSH »

Package Creator

Hello,

i have found a very useful script written by forum member jpeps. It creates .pet files out of the progxxx.file files in /root/.packages. It is made for using by terminal (ROXTerm etc.).

I really don't like using the terminal very much (except in programming processes) and so i did a little work on this script to use this one by a GUI or similar with right-click-action.

I have made a .pet for both of use. Both have language supprt for english and german.

Hope it will be useful to you also.

RSH

Edit: PackageCreator-1.0.1.pet is using yad, wich you can get here: http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=74115.

Edit 2012-01-12: Uploaded fixed .pets (symbolic links now re-copied as symbolic links)

Thanks!

If you are interested in a more comfortable version with a lot more funtions/options, you should search the forum for gnewpet. It's somewhere in the gtkdialog section ?!

Edit, here it is: http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic. ... h&id=52057

Hello to all, who are interested.

I would like to know, what do forum users and/or admins think:

Shall i remove this one, now that there is the wonderful gnewpet?

Or maybe only let the right-click version stay available?

Pet maker is not as easy to use as Gnewpet.
Medor our compiler should not be afraid, gnewpet is only an extraction, not a compilation. We still need him :!:
