Hi there!
I'm trying to install megapuppy 003. I am currently dual-booting puppy 2.01r2 along with windows xp on the same hd. When I checked the /mnt folder, I couldn't find the home directory! I searched for any .sfs file on the partition, but it only found that big megapuppy sfs file... I've been trying to figure out what went wrong for the past couple hours. Maybe it has something to do with the "MBR option" it told me to select (which I unwittingly selected) while installing it. Thanks in advance!
can't find pup_201.sfs
/mnt/home is created (symlinked), after you exited Puppy the first time.
Then it asks if you want to save your personal settings to the harddrive.
If you say "yes", then pup_save.sfs is created on a suitable drive, and at next boot, this drive is mounted in /initrd , and a symlink to this folder is created as /mnt/home.
This is the case, if you run Puppy from CD, or use a frugal installation.
For a full harddisk-install, try to copy megapup003_201.sfs to "/".
But we have some reports, that full harddisk-installations have problems to mount the .sfs -files.
