Goggles Music Manager on Slacko 5.3.1

#1 Post by lfever »

I am running Slacko 5.3.1 and have installed the goggles_slacko-0.124.pet.

When I try to play a selected mp3 song or when selecting various menu items goggles closes.

I tried to access the Preferences but cannot as goggles just closes. I would appreciate any help in solving this matter

Thanks

Then you need to launch goggles music manager in console. I dont remember was it ggm or something else...I mean the binary name.
Try: ggm and then gogglesmm.
You should get some errors.

That is the way to debug the launching problem.

The program launches okay from menu or console but the moment i select certain menu items in Goggles such as preferences or play a song from a imported folder Goggles closes.

I will give it some more thought today while napping. i do my best thinking while snoozing.

Sounds like a issue with xinelib. (opening preferences will initialize xine).
