I would like a lot of different hardware testers please for the new QtPuppy builds, found at: http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=72565. URL of the iso, and what is wanted tested can all be found in the first panel.
Reason is that I want to get as many of the found hardware related problems and bugs out now, before I start to add qt4-4.8.0 and the first of the qt4 App's next month. I've cleared mine down to a single acpid one, so I need others, if there are any, especially for wireless connection, which we don't have available here to test, let alone fix.
QtPuppy is now being based on Mageia, as Barry's Drake series was, except it will be using Mageia2, when I get any of the initial problems found down to a manageable level, rather than Drake's Mageia1.
It will also allow users to be able to add Mageia as a repositry, and with over 9000 applications at present in their database, and multi-lingual and multi-hardware, it may be a worthwhile gain.
Although I am working on our normal intel platform at this stage, I have been promised some others mid-year to 'play with for a year or so', so it may be all worth it.
thanks
scsijon
ps I may be cross-posting, not sure, but the wide range of hardware testing help is needed at this stage, not later!
pps If someone is looking for another 'base' to work with, have a look at Turkey's Pardus, something like Iguleder is doing and working with the source!
Hardware testers please!
