mageia2ppm file converter problem

#1 Post by scsijon »

greetings,

I decided to do a followup version of drake since magelia2 is in late alpha and I did like barry's drake0.3. It's called mage and can be found http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/postin ... ly&t=72565.

The Problem, is that the mageia2ppm file converter (/usr/usr/local/petget/mageia2ppm) is not working correctly and formatting it wrong when a mga1 file is included in the mga2 release, as mageia is now doing. Those lines that are mga2 are ok, it's only the mga1 ones that are the problem.

It's outputing lines (example) as:

Code: Select all

a2ps-4.14-11.mga1.i586|a2ps|||Document|3372K|core/release|a2ps-4.14-11.mga1.i586.rpm|+bash,+binutils,+file,+groff-perl,+imagemagick,+info-install,+perl-base,+psutils|
Converts text and other types of files to PostScript(TM)|mageia|cauldron||

a2ps-devel-4.14-11.mga1.i586|a2ps|||Development|96K|core/release|a2ps-devel-4.14-11.mga1.i586.rpm||Include files for a2ps|mageia|cauldron||

a2ps-static-devel-4.14-11.mga1.i586|a2ps|||Development|1175K|core/release|
a2ps-static-devel-4.14-11.mga1.i586.rpm|+a2ps-devel|Static libraries for a2ps|mageia|cauldron||
instead the first three fields should be:

a2ps-4.14-11|a2ps|4.14-11|
a2ps-devel-4.14-11|a2ps-devel|4.14-11|
a2ps-static-devel-4.14-11|a2ps-static-devel|4.14-11|

I'm wondering if one of our coders could have a look and see if it's an easy fix, rather than I ask barryk for help and interupt his current project. Otherwise I have about 20,000 lines to manually edit (mageia does split it packages up well).

The url's of maybe interest/use are :-

Package list (1 of 3):-
http://mirror.aarnet.edu.au/pub/mageia/ ... .hdlist.cz
Relevant Repos is:
http://mirror.aarnet.edu.au/pub/mageia/ ... re/release

UPDATE: BarryK has been notified of the problem, but no reply has been received to date, and it may eventually grow as there is a good possability that the letter 'c' will be used for the cauldron release files after mageia2 has been released and the mageia2 packages move to the mageia/distrib/2/ lists.

thanks in advance for any assistance given.
